Places to Visit in Japan

Japan is an island country located in East Asia in the Pacific Ocean. It borders the Sea of Japan, People's Republic of China, North Korea, South Korea, and Russia. The four largest islands of Japan are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shkoku. The majority of the islands are mountainous and many are volcanic. Japan's highest peak is Mount Fuji, and it is a volcano. Japan has about 128 million people living there, and Tokyo is the largest metropolitan area in the entire world, with more than 30 million residents.

There are so many places for you to visit in Japan, and I will describe some of the finest. Beginning with Tokyo, there is the Imperial Palace Tokyo and Imperial Palace East Gardens, Sensoji Temple, Ueno Park, Tokyo National Museum, National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo National Science Museum, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and Tsukiji Fish Market, which is the world's largest wholesaler of seafood.

Moving on to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, you will be able to visit some of the monuments of the thousands of Japanese who died because of the atomic bomb being dropped in these two cities. In Hirsohima, you can visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, which has many monuments to remember those who died and to pray for world peace. In Nagasaki, you can visit the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. Other places of interest in these two cities include the Asa Zoological Park, Fudoin Temple, Hiroshima Castle, Hiroshima Museum of Art, Mitaki Temple, Spectacles Bridge, Sofukuji Temple, and Glover Garden.

The city of Kyoto, Japan also has a number of attractions for you to visit. It is a place that has over 2000 Buddhist shrines, and here we recommend that you visit Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Ginkaku-ji Temple, Kyoto National Museum, and Katsura Rikyu Imperial Villa. These are just a few of the wonders of Kyoto, Japan.

Many Japanese tourists also like to take the opportunity to visit Mount Fuji in Japan, which is the highest mountain peak of the country. Many tourists hike the mountain or even enjoy paragliding. Next to Mount Fuji are the Five Fuji Lakes where you can enjoy water sports,boating, and terrific fishing. It is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and you must stop here when you visit Japan.
